Meet the Founder

Flora Bae Home was conceptualized 20 years ago, Natalie, a Michigan native who has lived all over the country including Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Colorado Springs, CO,  Los Angeles, CA and Playa Del Rey, CA was vacationing in the Petoskey area the summer of 2020 and she fell in love with the beautiful resort town and felt that Petoskey would be the perfect place to open her first boutique.  It only seems fitting and a bit fate-like that Natalie would end up back in Michigan to open her shop after exploring other parts of the country and landing on Michigan as its destination.

 

Flora Bae Home found its home in Petoskey, Michigan,  nestled along the shores of  Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan, on Howard St. in the Gaslight Shopping District. This beautiful resort community is steeped in history, Victorian architecture, and breathtaking views.

Flora Bae Home is a home shop with a focus on women artists and women owned small businesses,  where boho chic meets eclectic with mid century modern touches.  Products are curated and sourced by Owner Natalie Bae Lauzon.  Interior Design services and consultations are available on a case by case basis.

 

Over the span of her life,  Owner, Natalie Lauzon has been empowered by many strong and successful women starting with her Grandmother.  As she began her career, a trend kept happening and numerous strong female business owners hired her.  All of them have encouraged her to follow her dreams and have been an huge inspiration in Natalie opening Flora Bae Home. 

 

The majority of Natalie's professional development has been working side by side with amazing, creative, entrepreneurial woman including but not limited to a James Beard winning Pastry Chef, a rock star business owner/interior design/floral designer with an amazing eye for design and unique artisans, and an innovative floral designer/business owner who took over the LA floral scene at a very young age.  Natalie's career has mostly been focused on full service event planning, design and decor, floral design and art.
